Barebones founder Robert Workman set out to grant all people the bare necessities of a civilized life. It started with portable solar power with his company Goal Zero. On the journey, however, they found that the support structures for such a task were inefficient, long outdated, or altogether non-existent. From this realization came the inspiration for Barebones Living. Barebones is about supplying the bare necessities for living – food, water, shelter, and power – in the most efficient and independent way possible to any location around the world. We design and manufacture sustainable garden products to use from seed to harvest, as well as the toughest, most comfortable living shelters, portable power systems, and outdoor products on the market.
